THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD CREAT A PROGRAM TO EMPOWER THE YOUTHS IN THE
ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY –Son of Prophet (PCFN, OAP)
·
Can we meet you?
My
names are King Tunde Folorunaho, popularly known as Son of Prophet, I am a
prophetic comedian, event mc &radio presenter (OAP) I hail from Akoko-Edo,
Igarra in Edo state.
·
How long have you been in the entertainment
scene?
I
have been into the entertainment business since 2006, started with music, I did
my first single in 2007, and did my first promo party in October 8th
2008 and drop my last musical album titled THANK GOD in September 2011, before
fully switching to comedy which I currently do with passion.
·
How can you justify the growth &
development of the entertainment industry generally?
Well
as for the Nigerian entertainment industry, I believe that today a lot of
Nigerian youths have started discovering their talents very fast in different
areas of entertainment like music, comedy, dance, and production also including
acting and such as given more strength to the Nigerian entertainment industry,
you will also agree with me that in the world rating in entertainment today
Nigeria should be among the first ten, so therefore Nigerian entertainment is
very fast growing / developing.
·
Has the government been useful in any way
towards those developments?
Well
as for Nigerian government supporting Nigerian entertainment, that I can’t
really say much, because I haven’t seen Nigerian government trying to do
anything meaningful to empower the Nigerian youth in the entertainment industry,
so therefore I want to use this medium to call on the present administration to
form a program under any governmental agency or parastatals to empower the
entertainment industry, because this will generate a lot revenue to the
federation economy..
·
What class of comedy do you belong to?
The
kind of comedy I do is not that common, I do reality/prophetic comedy, as this
has distinguished me from every other comedian in Nigerian and the world at
large.
·
What do we expect from you for Nigeria @57?
Wow.
No be lie sha! Nigeria @57, no be like joke o! by the grace of God I am putting
up a show been powered by FLORIS GARDEN & EVENT CENTER, this show will be

·
What advice do you have for young once who
look up to you?
Well as
for those younger ones looking up to me, I say to them that they shouldn’t lose
focus, because in carrier pursuit, focus, dedication & consistency is the
key to a successful carrier, for those that have made it to the top in
entertainment today, their major key is what I have just mentioned, and they
should also not forget that in all they must put God first, and I prophecy as a
SON OF PROPHET that it is settled with
them all.

I PREACH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WITH MY MUSIC -Michael Wiseaim.
1.
How many years have you been singing?
I
have been singing for a long time since I finished secondary school, I started in the church choir in my village
back then. But I started singing fully
when I was doing my N.Y.S.C in Kogi state. That was when I started fully
as a gospel singer. (I study modern language (French) in A.A.U Ekpoma Edo
state, I can speak and write French language very well).
2.
Who would you say are the artist who
influenced you locally and intentionally?
Let
me start locally first, there are many of them but permit to just mention few
of them. Samsong, Buchi, Sammy Okposu and others. Intentionally there are also
many that really inspired me going into gospel music, ceci winners, Donnel
Mcloken, Don Moen and others.
3.
You are into gospel music, what exactly do
you sing about?
I
sing about Jesus Christ, it’s a medium to preach the gospel of Jesus to people
who felt all hope is gone, my music is all about hope to the hopeless, and also
to pass a message to this new generation and beyond that God is real, and Jesus
is the author and finisher of our faith. And also to draw the youths closer to
God through my gospel music.
4.
How many album and tracks do you have?
By
the grace of God I have a lot of songs compose on ground now, I have work on 1
album and 10 tracks which I have released some singles like Jesus I praise you,
Baba God don bless me, and the latest single now title He is a wonderful God,
which is making waves right now.
5.
Are you sign into any record label?
No, I
am the one doing my own thing with help of GOD.
6.
The Nigeria gospel music is a very
competitive, do you see yourself as making any impact there?
Yes,
I see myself making impact by the grace of God because without God, I cannot do
anything on my own, with the help of God I see myself making impact to the new
generation and also preaching the gospel
of Jesus Christ through my music.
7.
Who would you love to sing with among old
Nigeria gospel artistes?
Yes, I
would love to sing with samsong because I love his genre of music and his style
of music.
8.
What about the new generation artistes?
Yes I
will really love to sing with Stave Crown and David G.
9.
What are we expecting from you?
A
lot, by the grace of God. Good videos and good gospel music filled with
presence and power of God.
10.
What challenges are you facing in the gospel
music?
I
would say the only challenges I’m facing right now is financial challenge,
because many people are not interested in sponsoring young gospel artiste.
11.
What advice do you have for the upcoming
artiste?
My
advice for upcoming artiste, is not to give up on their dreams and their self,
because life will never give you what you want until you fight for it, be
patient with God Habakkuk 2:1-4 it takes patient to picture, to perceive, to
visualize. And always remember this, some people let you down, but don’t give
up on God and yourself.

TO EVEN SUCCEED IN AN AUDITION YOU HAVE TO BEST THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE...
Q:PLEASE CAN WE MEET YOU BRIEFLY?
I am Eddie John Tamuno. Born into the family of mr/mrs John Igbiri at Nigeria port Authority(NPA) Quarters Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
I hail from Okrika town in Okrika LGA of Rivers State. I attained my primary and secondary education in Sapele, Delta State. I am a graduate of accounting at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede-Owerri, Imo State. I had my post graduate diploma (PGD) in Business Management at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
I started acting in 2001 with stage play / drama and later moved into TV/film acting in 2009. I registered with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in 2015 and to the glory of God, I have featured in the following movie; Soil, king Kalluba, Ghetto wagon, The evil in us, Focus in sight and many others.
However for the passion of the movie industry, I went further to do a certificate program at the prestigious university of Port Harcourt in Acting, Directing, and Cinematography which has really motivated me in the industry.
· What motivated you into acting? I have been acting in some capacity (school, student films, shows friends asked me to feature in) since I was in secondary school but only during higher institution did I decide I want to be a professional actor, and this was as a result of my desire to improve on myself and to add my own quota to the drive for professionalism in the movie industry.
· What are your challenges in the movie industry?
It is worthy to note that the industry is very large at such, one needs to put in his best so as to break even and be engaged for jobs continuously.
No one would dare dribble a basketball a couple of times and suddenly decide they want to be in the NBA, yet with acting this is oddly common, you just have to keep working on yourself and be at the very top of your game . To even succeed in an audition you have to best thousands of people who may have more credits than you and have personal relationships with people in the industry and the organizers. You can’t explain to the casting director that you are new into the industry and that is why you flubbed your audition. They don’t care; they simply want someone who will be the best in the role they are trying to fill. If you can’t perform in an audition, they assumed you can’t perform on set.
· What are the possible solutions to your challenges mentioned?
As part of solution to the challenge, you should make yourself accessible by making people reach you. Also, you should try not to pay to be favored in audition as it will in no way favor your career, lastly, develop yourself so as to meet up with the requirements of the industry.
· What would you suggest the government to do to improve the movie industry?
My suggestion to the government is basically to assist in finding programs that will create avenues to the movie industry. The government should also develop the creative economy, viz, the intellectual property, the Actors Guild of Nigeria and by extension the individual actors as the need and desire arises.
· As a married man, how do you cope with the divas in the industry?
Basically, it is by being focus and discharge my core mandate as my dream as an actor is not to make a billion Naira as a celebrity but to get comfortable, support my family and do what I enjoy doing.
· Have you ever been sexually harassed as an actor/actress?
No, I have not
· What are your advice to the youth that are willing to join the industry?
My advice to them is to work hard, be zestful and above all have the fear of God even as they crave for stardom. Friday, 14 April 2017
